Australian Elizabeth Cooper is a Sydney based Soprano with a strong passion for the stage and bringing people together through music.
Invited onto ShoutMachine in 2021, Elizabeth is one of the youngest emerging artists showcased on the platform, and is currently undertaking the second year of her Master of Music Studies (Operatic Performance) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music where she is the recipient of the Olive Margaret Stewart Bequest.
In 2019 Elizabeth travelled to Weimar, Germany to perform the role of Erste Dame in Lyric Opera Studio Weimar's production of Die Zauberflöte. Other stage credits include the roles of Zweite Dame and Zweite Knabe with Pacific Opera in 2020 and 2021 and Dorothée in the Sydney Conservatorium of Music's 2020 filmed production of Cendrillon.
Elizabeth has been a member of the chorus for Opera New England's productions of Susannah and La traviata as well as Rowen Fox’s chamber opera Chang’E and the Moon.
Elizabeth delights in singing Oratorio and has performed as a Soprano soloist in Mendelssohn’s Elijah with the Blue Mountains Phoenix Choir, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Duruflé’s Requiem and Faure’s Requiem at St John the Evangelist Church and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle as a part of the Voces Caelestium Charity Concerts.
In 2021 Elizabeth looks forward to performing the role of Karen in Percy - the Opera as well as performing as a soloist with the Blue Mountains Phoenix Choir.
TRAINING
Elizabeth was awarded a Bachelor of Music Performance (Vocal Performance) - Sydney Conservatorium of Music (2017).
She is currently undertaking the second year of her Master of Music Studies (Operatic Performance) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where she is the recipient of the Olive Margaret Stewart Bequest.
